AL BAIRRE

Al Bairre is “an aggressively unfancy band from the mother city” who make fantastic pop music. Occasionally they ask me to supply some visual elements.

They also wanted a digital album cover for their new single – Tunnels. My first design was inspired by their music video…

but the band wanted to go for something a bit different…

So, inspired by the tunnel burrowing fox – I decided to flip the concept on its head (much like the band did with their outer space

video) and put my fox on top of an epic snowy mountain:

Most recently, I was asked to whip up a quick flyer for a local show – in the rush, I opted for the easy out: turning the band members into cats.

It was initially going to be accompanied by a speech bubble from cat Nic: “I really didn’t think that third wish all the way through…” I put a butterfly there instead.
